Data protection statement

Welcome! Thank you for visiting our website and for your interest in our content.

In principle, it is possible to use our website without providing personal data. However, the protection of your privacy and personal data is very important to us, and we process your data exclusively in accordance with the applicable data protection regulations.

SES does not disclose any personal data to external third parties without first obtaining the consent of the person concerned. In particular, no unauthorised disclosure of data to third parties for advertising purposes takes place. All data is only stored or disclosed to the extent necessary for order processing. External SES partners are included in our data protection policy through a data protection declaration.

Below, we provide detailed information about how we handle the data collected during your use of our website.

Definition of terms

Our privacy policy is designed to be easy for everyone to understand. We generally use the official terms of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) to ensure accuracy and transparency. The definitions of these terms can be found in Art. 4 GDPR.

The data from the server log is automatically deleted after 14 days.

Registration as Senior Expert

Interested professionals can register with us as Senior Experts via our registration portal in order to be placed in future assignments.

Purpose of processing

Data processing is used to assess your suitability as a Senior Expert and for long-term placement within the framework of our assignment programmes.

Processed data

We collect the following data during registration:

  • Mandatory data: name, date of birth, address, email address, professional experience, language skills
  • Optional information: interests, previous experience abroad, preferred regions

This information is provided voluntarily. SES experts expressly consent to the collection, storage and use of their data for the aforementioned purpose. This is mandatory for registration. You have access to your data and can request its deletion at any time.

Legal basis

Processing is based on your consent in accordance with Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR and, where applicable, for the preparation of a contractual relationship (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR).

Storage period

Your data will be stored for the duration of your active registration. In the event of inactivity or upon request, your data will be deleted, provided that there are no other legal grounds (e.g. tax archiving obligations) to the contrary.

Recipients

Your data will be processed exclusively by employees of the organisation. It will only be passed on to interested placement locations in the event of a specific project enquiry and with your prior consent.

Request for assignment

On our website, you can submit a request for assignment using a form. In this context, personal data is collected and processed that is necessary for processing your request.

Your data is collected and processed exclusively for the purpose of reviewing, planning and organising the possible deployment of an SES expert in response to your request.

Your data is processed on the basis of Art. 6 (1) lit. b GDPR, as it is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures based on your request. In addition, Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR may be used as a legal basis if we have a legitimate interest in the proper processing, internal documentation or organisational follow-up of the enquiry process.

Your data will only be stored for as long as is necessary to process your deployment request. If no assignment relationship is established, we will delete your data after completion of the enquiry process. Statutory retention obligations remain unaffected. If processing is based on Art. 6 (1) lit. f GDPR, you have the right to object to the processing at any time for reasons arising from your particular situation.

If you voluntarily provide special categories of personal data within the meaning of Art. 9 (1) GDPR (e.g. information on severe disability, health or religious affiliation) in the context of the assignment request, we will process this data exclusively on the basis of your express consent in accordance with Art. 9 (2) lit. a GDPR.

The provision of this information is voluntary and not required for the review of your request. You may revoke your consent at any time with effect for the future. In this case, the relevant information will be deleted immediately, unless there is a legal obligation to retain it.

Contact form

The details you transmit to us by using a contact form on our website are stored by us to be processed as necessary and to answer any questions which may subsequently arise. We do not share this data without your consent.

Donations

The donation process on ses-bonn.de/ueber-uns/spenden is handled by the FundraisingBox product from Wikando GmbH, Schießgrabenstr. 32, 86150 Augsburg. The solution is embedded in our website, but the data is processed by the third-party provider Wikando GmbH. The provider's data protection regulations apply, which can be accessed at fundraisingbox.com/privacy/. The following categories of personal data are collected:

  • Contact details: name, address, telephone number, IP address
  • Identification/payment details: account number, VAT ID number
  • Order data: Turnover

The collected data is stored for a period of 10 years in accordance with the statutory retention obligation.

The legal basis for the collection of personal data relating to donations is:

Fulfilment of contract (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR)

If a person makes a donation and a contractual relationship is thereby established (e.g. through a supporting membership or regular donations), data processing is necessary for the performance of the contract.

Legal obligation (Art. 6 (1) (c) GDPR)

Donations are subject to tax retention periods and must be documented for accounting and possible tax audits. Processing is therefore necessary to comply with legal obligations.

Legitimate interest (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR)

SES has a legitimate interest in collecting donation data in order to conclude a contract (donation). Personal contact details are required for this purpose.
